Dr. Oz teamed up with two plastic surgeons on one of his segments to discuss the benefits of Phytoceramides.
As the two, Dr. Leif Rogers and Dr. Shirley Madhere said, Phytoceramides, which are plant-derived, were first available in Asia as supplements, and the FDA only permitted Phytoceramides in the United States several years ago. Phytoceramides, as one of them put it, helps the skin to retain moisture from the inside and to plump it up...which in turn reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles. The doctors also stated that Phytoceramides help skin to hold onto moisture better.
The doctors told Dr. Oz that it can take several months for someone taking Phytoceramides to notice changes in the appearance of their skin, since the Phytoceramides must work to repair damage within the skin's layers, and to rebuild collagen.
In discussing dosage, the doctors told Dr. Oz that 350mg daily is recommended and plant-derived Phytoceramides are optimal. They also said Phytoceramides are safe for most to take, except for those who may have a gluten sensitivity.
Rise-N-Shine's Vitamin Facial has the recommended dose of Phytoceramides recommended on Dr. Oz's show. Vitamin Facial supports healthy and hydrated skin from within in each liquid capsule, with Phytoceramides from wheat extract and other nutrients for healthy skin.
